Happy Pollinator Day!

Happy Pollinator Day at the farm

It is National Pollinator Week, and we’re taking the opportunity to celebrate and give thanks to the pollinators who keep our farm full of fruits and vegetables! Usually we would be having a day full of activities on the farm, but we will be shifting our efforts online this year due to COVID-19. We’ll be talking to our friends from Sweet Grass Roots Collective and Toronto Beekeepers Collective from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM on Saturday, June 27 on our Instagram Live (@BlackCreekCommunityFarm).

If you can’t tune in, feel free to take a look through the following resources to learn more about honey bees, native pollinators, and the politics of beekeeping.
