In September 2024, reporter Karon Liu visited the farm to chat with our Executive Director Ohemaa Boateng about the future vision for Black Creek Community Farm, particularly our ambitious plans for a Community Kitchen and Resilience Hub. The facility will make it possible for us to host field trips and community events year-round, even in extreme heat or biting cold. The certified commercial kitchen will enable us to manufacture our preserves like our hot sauce, pickles and jams on site, host cooking workshops, and provide the necessary infrastructure for chefs and entrepreneurs in the community to launch their food businesses.
