Community Engagement Student Trainee

  • The Programs Student Trainee will support the Programs’ team facilitate educational programming for the community through various projects, based on the farm with either the Farm School, Urban Harvest, Youth, Events, Value-Added, and Seniors’ programming team
  • You have the opportunity to gain experience and provide support with garden maintenance, food skills workshops, and community events
  • Learn and support the Programs’ communication, documentation, and community outreach such as canvassing, and creating content for our social media, bi-weekly newsletters, and website
  • Gain experience in customer service and building relationship skills with local residents, partners, and organizations
  • Attend and participate in regular team and staff meetings
  • Help to foster a positive safe and inclusive farm space for the community, staff, and volunteers

Market Garden Student Trainee

  • As Market Garden Student Trainee will gain experience and help the market garden team to help manage food production, garden maintenance, and record keeping
  • Learn and support with our online and in-person sales, farm store, markets, CSAs, food deliveries, markets, and additional sales channels
  • Learn and support with market garden communication, documentation, and community outreach such as canvassing, programming, and creating content for our social media, bi-weekly newsletters, and website
  • Gain experience in customer service and building relationship skills with local residents, partners, and organizations
  • Attend and participate in regular team and staff meetings
  • Support in creating a safe space and inclusive space for the community, staff, and volunteers.

Development and Communications Student Trainee

  • As Development and Communication Student Trainee you will support the Development team to engage, steward, and recognize the various types of supporters of BCCF
  • Learn and gain administrative and communication skills needed to engage with donors, write compelling appeals, and campaigns, and share BCCF’s mission and impact to a wider audience
  • Learn and gain experience in facilitating workshops and farm tours
  • Support our team with planning, organizing, and coordinating both community and fundraising activities, events, and programs
  • Learn and support with executing our communication, marketing, documentation, and community outreach efforts such as canvassing, flyering, presentations, and creating content for our social media, bi-weekly newsletters, and website
  • Gain experience in customer service and building meaningful relationship skills with local residents, volunteers, partners, supports, and organizations
  • Attend and participate in regular team and staff meetings
  • Support in creating a safe space and inclusive space for the community, staff, and volunteers.
