Black Creek Community Farm – Food Forest Stewardship Days (every Monday, 1pm – 5pm)

Food Forest Stewardship Days (every Monday, 1pm – 5pm)

Event details

  • November 27, 2017
  • 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Currently, the west side of the trail that surrounds Black Creek Community Farm is being transformed into a promising Food Forest, where a number of fruit trees, berries, and perennial herbs have been planted and managed.

Join us and help us to continue developing this amazing project.. This is going to be a great opportunity for you to meet people, gain and share knowledge, and help building a future where environment and food production can be managed in a sustainable way. Hopefully in a few years, community and visitors will be able to walk through this trail to contemplate, learn and harvest a yield of fresh food along the way…

We will carry out a series of activities, such as planting, weeding, creating and maintaining paths and garden beds. Come prepared to get dirty and have fun! Tools and gloves will be provided.  There will be a light lunch served as well.

Food Forest Stewardship Days: every Monday afternoon, from 1 to 5pm, ending on November 27th.

Bring snacks, smiles or anything else you want to share! 🙂
